The ASA Council recognises that its current governance and management arrangements are not sustainable in the longer-term. That is why we have called this request for offer. The ASA and the Council specifically relies primarily on voluntary labour and a membership that has stagnated at around 830 over the past 6 or more years. The rules and by-laws have not kept pace with changes in the external environment.
