About the Role

To manage and maintain library collections, including acquisition, cataloguing, digitisation, and electronic resources, while supporting service development, reporting, and improvements across the Collections and Content teams to ensure materials are accessible and well-managed.

About You

We are seeking a well organised and detail-oriented library technician with experience in cataloguing tool, metadata schema, and digitisation process.

Ideally, you will have:

  1. High level knowledge of bibliographic control, cataloguing tools, and relevant metadata schemas.
  2. High level knowledge of serials acquisition, accessioning processes, and related collection management tasks.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, client-focused service.
  4. Well-developed digital literacy, including the use of library systems, digital repositories, and data management tools.
  5. Understanding of digitisation processes and their role in the preservation and access of library collections.
  6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing tasks and maintaining records.
  7. Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to provide clear technical instructions.
  8. Highly motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and complete work efficiently within agreed timeframes.
