Branch Meeting / Thursday, 04 Jun 2026
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Brisbane Students, recent graduates and new professionals! You are invited to a networking event to chat with records and archives professionals.  This evening is open to members and non-members. The more the merrier! PLEASE NOTE that this is a self funded event.  (Look out for the ASA flag on the table)
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM ONLINE / PARKES Organised by the National Archives of Australia and presented by the Australian Society of Archivists, A Life in Archives: Honouring the Legacy of Dr Peter Orlovich recognises the outstanding career and contributions of Dr Peter Orlovich, a pioneering figure in Australian archival education and practice. Dr Orlovich established Australia’s first graduate training course for archivists at the University of New South Wales and made significant contributions to archival training, community archives, and local history throughout his career.

About ASA Memberships

We have a vibrant network of over 1,000 members locally and internationally, we’re proud to support professionals who are passionate about preserving and providing access to the historical and documentary record. Membership is open to anyone working in or connected to the fields of archives and recordkeeping—including professionals from related disciplines and organisations that share our values and vision.

We offer two membership classes: Individual and Corporate. You'll enjoy a range of benefits—from access to professional publications and sector updates, to opportunities for networking and collaboration. Your membership also helps strengthen our advocacy for the archives and recordkeeping profession in Australia.

ASA membership includes archivists working in:

Individual

For individuals working in archives and recordkeeping, as well as individuals in allied professions or those that support the aims of the Society. 

A concessional membership rate is available for eligible individuals.

A concessional membership rate is applicable to schools, religious organisations and voluntary organisations such as historical societies.
