5:00 PM - 6:30 PM ONLINE / PARKES Organised by the National Archives of Australia and presented by the Australian Society of Archivists, A Life in Archives: Honouring the Legacy of Dr Peter Orlovich recognises the outstanding career and contributions of Dr Peter Orlovich, a pioneering figure in Australian archival education and practice. Dr Orlovich established Australia’s first graduate training course for archivists at the University of New South Wales and made significant contributions to archival training, community archives, and local history throughout his career.

ARCHIVIST OFFICER (PART-TIME 0.41FTE)

Job Description

Perth College is seeking a passionate Archivist Officer to join our team. In this important role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing archive policies and procedures to support the School Archive, ensuring the preservation and accessibility of records, and ensuring Perth College meets its legislative record-keeping obligations while protecting the School’s business interests.

This is a permanent part-time position (0.41 FTE), typically worked over two full days per week. Flexible arrangements, including part-day schedules, may be considered for the right candidate.

This is an exciting time to join our School community as we prepare for a landmark year in 2027 — celebrating Perth College’s 125th anniversary, 100 years of the Chapel, and 30 years of the Theatre. The Archivist will play a vital role in preserving, showcasing, and sharing the rich history and stories that have shaped our community across generations.
