Dr Orlovich established Australia’s first graduate training course for archivists at the University of New South Wales and made significant contributions to archival training, community archives, and local history throughout his career.

Records Manager

Job Description

Classification Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8

Salary: $113,574 – $125,720 p.a. base salary. Superannuation and annual leave loading are paid in addition to the base salary.

Work type: Full-Time - 35 hours per week, 12 months with a possibility of extension.

About the Role:

The NSW Crown Solicitor's Office is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Records Manager to oversee the operations of the Records and Service Centre teams.  In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for implementing compliant programs of work for life-cycle records management, digital recordkeeping practices and digitisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and respected organisation and make a meaningful contribution to the efficient and compliant management of the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office's records and services.

Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven track record in managing and supervising a small team within a high-volume records management environment.
  • Diploma in Business (Records & Information Management) or equivalent experience of 5+ years in the field.
  • Understanding of the State Records Act (NSW), standards and the code of best practice.
  • Comprehensive computer literacy using applications such as an Electronic Document & Records Management System (eg.  Content Manager) and MS Excel.

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.

  • Adept at managing high volumes of work while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency
